Flexible options for storing and managing the data collected by your FreightSnap dimensioner

THREE OPTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM

We offer three different ways to store and manage the data collected by any FreightSnap dimensioner. A description of each method is listed below. Take a look at the following information. If you have any questions or would like more detail, please contact us.

FREIGHTSNAP CLOUD

How It Works:

Each time your dimensioner scans a piece of freight, it collects the measurements (length, width, height, and weight, if using a scale) along with a photo (or photos) of your freight. That information is then sent to the FreightSnap Cloud, which is hosted on Amazon’s secure cloud servers behind Amazon’s firewall.

To access past scan information, simply open any web browser and log into your FreightSnap Portal account by entering a username and password. Once logged in, you can search for shipments by ID Number, Date Range, Time of Scan, Dimensioner ID (if you have multiple dimensioners), or Scan Location (if you have dimensioners at multiple geographic locations).

PRIVATE CLOUD

How It Works:

Instead of storing data and photos on the FreightSnap Cloud, we will provide you with our cloud server software, which will be installed on your own network and managed by your IT staff.

Data can still be accessed by logging in to our web-based portal, which will be housed on your company’s intranet, behind your own firewall.

Benefits Of Using The Private Cloud:

• Minimal integration costs

• Storage space managed by you

• Extra level of security (housed on your network, behind your firewall)

• Easy to access your data through our web-based interface (FreightSnap Portal)

• Option to export data into database and desktop tools like MySQL, SQL Server, Microsoft Excel and others (integration required by FreightSnap and/or client)


CUSTOM SOLUTION

How It Works:

Each time freight is scanned, your dimensioner can export a file containing the dimensional and photo data in the following formats:

• JSON string

• XML

• txt + jpg

From there, data can be stored on your own database and managed as desired. Commonly, clients choose to integrate their data with TMS or WMS systems, in which case FreightSnap will work with your IT staff to complete the solution.
